Indigo children, have you ever heard of this concept?
What would you at first think it means after hearing it?
A little while ago I heard about the concept ‘indigo child’ for the first time and I felt pulled towards reading more about it.
To me it sounds so mystical or magical.. mysterious even.
I found out it’s not something new, but an idea based on concepts developed in the 1970s.
Over time a variety of books, movies, conferences, music and other things have been created around this idea of indigo children, with a belief in their nature and abilities.
Everyone with their own interpretation of what an indigo child is, but it all comes down to the same..
They are the next stage in human evolution.
The indigo child is here to bring us closer to our true essence, as we have forgotten who we truly are.
”These children seem to have more software already downloaded into their systems.”
-quote from The Indigo Evolution documentary
How did this happen, how did we lose touch with our true inner self?
Us humans started to think instead of feel.
Our mind is an amazing thing, how we’re able to look back and think forward.
To think of ideas before even doing them..
But because of these ability’s it wasn’t hard for our egos/unconscious mind to start ruling,
instead of our soul.
We started to rely on memories of the past in our decision making which makes us fearful.
We lost our connection with the collective consciousness making us feel alone,
but our ability to tap into it is still within all of us!
It just has to be awakened..this is were the indigo child plays a big role.
First I’d shortly like to mention where the term ‘indigo child’ came from.
In a study of the human auric field they discovered a change after 1980.
80% of the children born after that time had a new deep blue color in their auric field, they called this new color Indigo.
So after the 1980s there was a sudden growth(or more awareness)of these awakened children, but signs of indigo children began even as early as in the 1950s with a few people!
The behavioral patterns of indigo children
There are many different interpretations as everyone takes what they like/want to believe and go from there.
Some say they possess paranormal abilities such as telepathy, others say they are more creative than their peers.
It’s just not possible to generalize them as they all are still their own person and raised in a very different way.
It is true that indigo children are born with a deeper sense of knowing, it’s beyond what is being handed to them.
They are highly sensitive, intuitive and go against the stream; non-conformists.
Indigo children don’t need the label to know.. they’ve always known.
The concept indigo child has been related to ADHD, ADD, autism and other mental disorders, but there’s fallacy in this.
It’s not said that people diagnosed with these disorders are all indigo children or that all indigo children should show signs of having a mental disorder.
On the other hand there are people saying that parents use the term indigo child for their kid as an alternative to a diagnosis they don’t want to hear. Like poor parenting, narcissistic parenting, mental disorder etc.
When I started to read about all this I knew it’s something I should mention, but to me it doesn’t matter.
It’s a mess created by humans around this concept of children being born to change the world.
And these children(or adults!) know.
Indigo children are the next step in human evolution!
It doesn’t matter if you believe in the evolution theory or not.
Human evolution is something that has to happen and is happening!
It used to happen so slowly that we didn’t get to recognize it, but we’re starting to recognize it more and more.
Me among many others feel a shift happening.
It’s something I talked about with my soul friends and we couldn’t really point down what it is we feel, but as we’re walking this individual spiritual path we finally can.
It’s a shift in human consciousness, the next step in human evolution.
From a sense of ‘me’ to a sense of ‘us’.
The collective consciousness.
As a child I felt different. I felt there was.. something. Something more than what was handed by society.
I’ve always had a pull towards going against the stream, disliking what society likes and so on.
I never knew where this came from and it led to troubled times in the past.
Lots of negativity, pain and feeling misunderstood.
I had different speech disorders and social anxiety.
There were times I went with the stream, but it felt like abandoning myself.
At one point I started my ‘spiritual journey’ and now I’m finally able to make more sense of what I’ve always felt.. I’m grateful of being a part of the shift happening and I’m more than happy to spread this knowledge handed to me by the universe.
As always, a song fitting the topic!
The first song I thought of is: Nahko and medicine for the people – Love letters to God
Read the lyrics and tell me what you think they mean..
